Character: Lucciola Series: Last Exile Character Age: 17 There are two warring nations on the world of Prester: Anatoray and Disith. The Guild is a faction of aristocracy that rules Prester from high in the skies, pulling the strings of the battling countries below. Maestro Delphine Eraclea rules the Guild but is the very opposite of a benevolent leader. She cares nothing for the people down below and takes joy in watching them fight as she controls the world with ruthless greed. To take a stand against her, peaceful couriers Claus Valca and Lavie Head must deliver a young girl to the people who need her. This one girl holds the ability to crush the power that Maestro Delphine holds, and by defeating her they can set the people of the world free to fly as they wish. As a young child and member of the Guild’s servant class, Lucciola was gifted by Maestro Delphine to her younger brother, Dio. In a world where people are the cruel Maestro’s playthings and leagues exist between nobility and the the rest of the population, Lucciola was forced to become a perfectly obedient and guarded servant in order to survive and protect his Lord. However, the relationship between them is anything but that. In Dio’s words, they are friends and this friendship defines most of who Lucciola is. What stops him from showing this is his fear of Delphine and the consequences such a close relationship would bring. Because of this, his training and survival tactics have become so ingrained that he finds it difficult to show any emotion towards others, making his interactions with people stiff and formal. This doesn’t stop him from always standing at attention, making sure that he’s ready to protect his master from any danger possible with his skills in martial arts and weaponry. Sample Entry: Tell us about yourself in a few words. My name is Lucciola and I am Lord Dio's body guard and servant. My main duty is to provide him with companionship and protect him from any dangers that might befall him. I was given to him as a child and he is the one who gave me the name Lucciola. This name is pleasing and I am very proud to have been named as such. Why are you joining our happy community? I was given a mission outside of my main parameters to gather information about this new faction known as CFUD. Reports have shown that there is a rebel base in this encampment and I am here on Maestro Delphine's orders to find any known weak points along their barrier and report back to her. Do you think you are good in a crisis? Why? I have been trained in various forms of combat and the use of many different types of weapons. I have also been trained to keep a cool head in battle and take down the enemy by picking apart their defenses through logic and force. Whether it is a crisis or not, I have always done my duty and accomplished the jobs I have been assigned to do. Do you consider yourself squeamish? Please provide an example. I am already very familiar with the dead and can see that most of the inhabitants are just that. I do not know how they are able to survive as they are, but they do not provide an urge to be squeamish in any way or form. Would you be able to dispose of the flesh of the undead? How? I am not sure whether or not you mean the inhabitants of this camp. They trudge about without any signs of life and, from investigating, they seem to lack a pulse. But the main course of action would probably be to burn them to ashes, leaving no trace as to who or what they were. Do you find these questions increasingly unnerving? Why/Why not? I find them strange but not unnerving. I do not see how answering these questions serve any purpose. But it is a means to an end so I will answer them regardless so that I am able to enter this camp. What traits or things do you believe define you? . . .The Guild itself defines who I am and without it I would be nothing. As a servant of the Guild, Maestro Delphine and Lord Dio are where my life begins and ends. There is nothing else that brings me greater joy because no other duty would compare to the responsibility I have towards the Guild. Anything else would be a waste because this is the position set in stone for me and I will stand by it with everything that I am. Do you have any deep personal traumas you might inexplicably be compelled to share in this questionnaire? Please describe. I apologize but I am not at liberty to share such information. Such things would be seen as heresy to speak of. I have provided you with enough information as is, please do with it as you will. Thank you for your time. ( % ) [ VOTING POST @ HERE ] |
